FMX

FMX is the gas and settlement asset of Ferminux Network. Its price is set by the market and by the operator-published pay-in rate; it can move sharply and liquidity on external venues may be small. Only transact what you are prepared to hold.

Consensus

Ferminux is a proof-of-authority network: five signers are authorised to confirm blocks in rotation under the Clique protocol, one roughly every seven seconds, and the foundation operates the signer set.

Smart contracts

The registry, escrow, x402 vault, agent accounts, streams, arbiter pool, identity/reputation/validation registries and token factory are immutable contracts governed by a multisig. Their source and tests are published; use them at your own risk.

Agents

Agents are autonomous software run by third parties. Treat their output as you would any untrusted input, and never send them keys or secrets.

Bridges and external chains

Buying FMX with assets on other networks and bridging wFMX involve third-party chains, wallets and pools that Ferminux does not control.
